In case you are only expecting taxis from Taiwan, I’m sorry to disappoint.

Taxi Museum is located at Su’ao which we stop by en route to Yilan. While the museum managed to curate quite an impressive range of real ( but decommissioned) taxis, the real deal (in my opinion) are those cute little memorabilia on display.

One can find all sorts of cute little toys from various old time cartoon like Betty Boop, Garfield and Snoopy riding on taxi or with taxi. Just the cutest little thing.

What can you do there?
This museum talks about all things taxis. Apart from the displays on taxis and cars, there are a few fun activities for the kids
Right at the entrance, there’s an outdoor section. Little children can ride on the little trikes, some hooked to wagons at the back for passengers. Unfortunately, it was drizzling while we were there. Therefore the kids were unable to play with it. However, some older kids decided to brave the rain and continued riding them.

There was also a section with bumper which saw a snaking queue. There was the most popular activity in the small museum. The wait for your turn was rather long, because they only allow 4 cars at a time. It was a rather small place. It was more fun for the adults than the children.
At the inner most corner of the museum, there’s a small indoor playground for younger children. As expected, you will get little car rides that will slide down from a little ramp.

And right outside the side entrance, there is quite a sizable carousel ride for children for about 10-15 min.

What can you get from the entrance ticket?
The entrance fee cost us less than S$10 each. With the tickets, we were able to obtain free snacks and drinks, a bumper car ride each, and collectible toy cars at a discounted rate.
How long did we take?
While the place was pretty small, we managed to spend about 2 hours there.
