Easy cream pasta that doesn’t use store-bought alfredo sauce has been a mainstay in my household whenever I want to cook something quick.

This salmon pasta is quick and healthy, ready in 30 minutes for a busy weeknight dinner. This recipe is also kid-friendly. Both my kids love them. Yes, even for my picky eater. With salmon, there’s extra protein.
If you are vegan or prefer a meatless meal, you can forgo the salmon and replace it with a mix of mushrooms. The base for the cream sauce will remain the same.
Pasta
We love spaghetti. However, you can also use any other pasta you have in your pantry. In my opinion, fusilli makes a better choice as the gooey cream sauce clings to your pasta. If you prefer other pasta, that will work too.
Protein
You can have additional mushrooms without protein. If you do not like salmon, tuna makes a fine replacement.
